Words of Love is Daphne’s passionate tribute to the Buddy Holly legacy, the 50th anniversary of a fatal plane crash of February 3, 1959. Paul McCartney and John Lennon took their name, The Beatles, as an homage to Buddy’s group, The Crickets, and they claim that at least 40 of their songs were modeled after Buddy Holly. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards feel that Buddy Holly was their biggest musical and artistic influence. Don McClean, Procol Harum. Paul Simon, Leonard Cohen, Neil Young and Eric Clapton’s Derek and the Dominoes lay claim to the legacy. These classic rock and folk ballads are newly arranged by Doug Levine and John Marcinizyn.
